![]() Star Frontiers has only one humanoid alien race - the yazarians - and they're still pretty different (being arboreal gliding rage monkeys), with the vrusk and dralasites being quite different. I like the setting-building that goes into accommodating these guys, and the different innate strengths and weaknesses they might bring to a group. Sometimes, you get a tail in there, but it makes little practical difference - they still wear more or less the same armor, use more or less the same armor, live in houses, sit on chairs, make hand-friendly tools, ride mounts in the conventional between-the-legs ways. Most races presented in rpg's tend to be humanoid with variations in proportions and physical features, but it's still two arms, two legs. ![]() ![]() I've got a big weakness for PC's which non-humanoid body plans. ![]()
